Does Minoxidil work?

Yes, be it in oral or hair spray form, minoxidil does work and at Hair Transplant Malaysia, we highly recommend that minoxidil is taken daily in very low doses such as 2% or 5% as prescribed by our Hair Doctor with over 20 years in research, practice and experience. Diffused Female Androgenetic Alopecia

Women with diffuse androgenetic alopecia can use minoxidil. The makers of minoxidil recommend women only use the 2% concentration of minoxidil and not 5%. Many Hair Physicians do prescribe minoxidil 5% for women with androgenetic alopecia if used under their supervision. Some small clinical trials have been conducted on 5% minoxidil for androgenetic alopecia in women showing that indeed the 5% solution is significantly more effective in both retaining and regrowing hair than the 2% solution.

The Hair Physician would advice on getting a Full Female Blood Picture done which involves;

5. Total Testosterone

10. Serum Ferritin

Are results guaranteed?

Absolutely yes! However, taking into consideration that patients abide by the strict protocols of daily medications without making any decisions on their own. Medications must be strictly taken on a daily basis for a year or more as advised by the hair physician. Any side effects, be it real or psychological must be brought to the attention of the doctor where the alternative medications would be given in the form of a spray and not for oral consumption. This again varies from every individual customer.
